Hello friends! Today I’m here for another edition of Katie’s Kitchen. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted one of these but I finally have some products I found worth mentioning! Coincidentally most of these gifts can make cute stocking stuffers or great gifts for the all natural, gluten-free, paleo foodie in your life! Today I’m going to tell you about my new favorite protein powder, my current favorite nutrition and wellness book as well as a few of my favorite snacks. Let’s dig in!
-Anyone who’s read my posts knows that I absolutely LOVE SFH Fuel, coconut flavored protein powder. It’s so delish and is one of the cleanest protein powders I’ve found. However in an effort to eliminate more sugar from my diet and just to try something new, I decided to give these Vital Proteins collagen peptides a try. I can’t say I’m disappointed at all! While I typically like flavored protein powders, this stuff is great just the way it is! It mixes in easily with liquids, not clumpy like other protein powders I’ve tried. Not to mention all the benefits of collagen peptides! Collagen is one of our bodies’ vital building blocks. It helps keep our skin, hair, nails, bones, and joints going strong.
-In case you haven’t been able to tell, Candice and I are obsessed with this book! And yes, I said book because it is SO much more than just a cookbook. Cassy gives us her four pillars of health, meal plans, workouts, movement demos and so much more in this book! There are only a few recipes I haven’t tried yet but everything else I have has been delicious. The best parts of all her recipes are how simple and easy they are to follow. Typically meal planning and meal prepping can be daunting but Cassy turns it into a fun and manageable task. Don’t just take our word for it, get your copy today!
-I tried small packets of various flavors from this company before and absolutely loved them. From their plain almond butter to their vanilla espresso almond butter to their chocolate sunflower seed butter, they were all delicious. However, for whatever reason, I never bought a full jar. Then while I was visiting Candice in Portland, (where Wild Friends is based out of) she had me try some of their pumpkin spice peanut butter and I thought I had died and gone to heaven. This stuff is seriously SO amazing. Sadly once I was back home I couldn’t find it anywhere until about a week ago when I found their classic creamy peanut butter at the local Giant Eagle. I love this brand because they’re all natural, non-GMO and gluten-free!
- Steep 18 Cold Brew Coffee – Guatemalan medium roast
-I don’t know what it is about cold brew coffee but I am obsessed! I’ve tried a few different brands but lately I have been digging this one the most! While I usually LOVE iced cold brew, with the winter months beginning, I’m in need of a warm cup of coffee most mornings. This brand heats up great and tastes amazing. The citrus and sweet cocoa flavors really come out with each sip. It mixes great with some vital proteins collagen peptides and butter or ghee for some frothy coffee or is perfect without anything mixed in. Definitely give this stuff a try!
-I cannot say enough good things about Rx Bars. Besides the short list of ingredients, every flavor I’ve tried has been delicious. They’re not too big and overly sugary but not so small that you’re left unsatisfied. While I LOVE the chocolate sea salt and blueberry flavor, this one is by far my favorite. It’s the perfect amount of maple syrup and the chunks of sea salt that really send this flavor over the edge. I highly recommend trying to variety pack (found on Amazon!) or just bite the bullet and order yourself a case of this delish flavor!
